Big Brother 👀

The thought that the government can peek into your personal life, and see what's going on can be scary and definitely nerve-racking. Knowing that the government has the power to do that makes me feel sketched out but I know that what they're doing is for the good of the nation. However, there are still many of those that disagree, and even become paranoid with the whole idea. It makes the person be wary of what they constantly do. People try to avoid any way that the government can keep an eye on them. Being under surveillance changes how the person lives their life, if the person is greatly concerned about being able to do things in private. This paranoia can lead to the thought that they might not trust the government and what they do.

In 1984, Winston was starting to get a little paranoid with the telescreens, thoughtpoilce, and spies watching everything the citizens of Oceania are doing. He had to fight so hard within his mind to fake being normal, instead of showing any indication of hatred towards Big Brother. It was only till Julia came along with her confession of love that had saved Winston.
