Big Brother vs US

In 1984, there is no privacy. The telescreen practically is your life. The telescreen watches your every move, listens to every word you say, and is the reason for many crimes being caught. That's the beauty of that society of Big Brother. They strive for perfection, and they think they eliminate all of the people against them because they are corrupted into the fear of the telescreen. In our world today, we don't have that. Our world is based off of the freedom to do what we like and having the freedom to say what we would like. Our world is different from Big Brother because firstly, Big Brother is a totalitarian government system where as USA isn't. Big Brother doesn't have one person in charge though, there is a small group called the inner party. Since there is a small group in charge of everything, they create the rules with no say of citizens, and are allowed to change them as well. In Big Brother, privacy is practically illegal and a foreign word.

  1. like I said in class, if there is nothing to hide why is it such a big deal to give up your privacy? I understand people love their privacy but how is it bad when your life is at stake? still being a kid takes away our privacy, which all kids under 18 would know
