Presentation comments

Today in class, people shared their views on sexism, along with racism. And it shows how much we have changed. Which is not much. Yes, blacks, whites, Mexicans and so on and so forth can eat in the same restaurant. However, people still make some racial comments; for instance, Josiah and Domo's experiences shows that society has not changed. Why would you say those comments in the first place. There is no reason that a Principal out of all people to  tell a 7th grader(Domo) what he said. That principal should be fired at the minimum. Besides that, it shows how society views a certain creed of people in another creed's territory. Now on to sexism. Women are so called viewed as men's sex objects which is not true. Most men who respect women see them as caring people if not, they would not stay with them when she is having a kid. It just take a few humans to destroy what others have fought for...Change! Change is what women got in the 1900's by getting to vote and work in work places as men's replacements in WW2. All in all, I don't think change will come easily but it will come in the future.

  1. Damo's experience was such an eye opener! I had no idea there were still such evil people in this world. I don't exactly know what racism feels like but I would never wish it upon anyone and I have great sympathy for anyone who has had an experience like that.

  2. Yeah I think we are slowly improving and getting better. Still, there will always be people out there who are racist or sexist. It will never be a perfect world but we can try our best to make it the way we want.
