Chrome Books & Technology

Lately, we have been using the Chrome Books.  We are using these Chrome Books to take the Benchmark tests, and to work on our collaborative essay with our group.  It is very efficient and useful to our class.  Especially, since the Chrome Books has Google Docs, we can now access that at home, with our own computers.  We can do the same thing that we are doing in the classroom at home, which is completely useful.  In my opinion, my favorite part about it is that we can have a chat conversation between our group when we are working on the collaborative essay.  It allows us to communicate with each other while we are working on the essay at the same time.  The Chrome Book has a very organized of way of doing this essay with our group members.  One thing that I absolutely love, is that it automatically saved the document for you when you are using it.  That way you don’t have to worry about saving the document as you go.  If there is an emergency or anything happens to your computer your document is automatically saved, and you won’t have to redo anything.  There have been times in the past that I didn’t save my document on word and it accidently got deleted without saving, so I had to redo all my work.   Which would be very time confusing and annoying.  It is crazy to me that technology is moving so fast and it starting to become a huge part in people’s education.  In the future or possibly now, this is going to become a part of an everyday student’s life in school.   All of this technology has helped me so much, with many things in life, including school.  It is a great tool to have while attending school.   In the end, these Chrome Books bring many advantages to help us in many different things in life, including in school.

  1. I completely agree with you because the chrome brooks have become extremely useful during class and it is easy to share our ideas with our groups. The only thing I have a problem is that some students had multiple tabs open to different pages that didn't relate to the topic, so I find it a little distracting.
